Executive Chef (Food Services)
Menu Development
Manage the business aspects of restaurant including: budget management, food costing and purchasing, inventory management, and event management within a set framework
Hire and train teammates; motivate and inspire excellence in your team
Scheduling of teammates
Continuously set and meet goals to ensure guest and staff satisfaction as well as financial success of establishment
Ensure the highest levels of quality and consistency in food preparation, presentation and service
Communicate, delegate and execute all duties, such as inventory, placing orders, scheduling and daily specials.
Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS office, POS, excel, word, restaurant inventory system)
Credentials in health and safety training
Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to
Sustain and optimize profitability, performance and guest satisfaction
Available to work overtime when required
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
3 years' experience preferred
Relevant certification a plus
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach
Ability to lift 50 pounds
