***Seasonal Pool Supervisor (Security)
Ensure that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained by delivering the ultimate customer service experience.
Welcome members and guests and ensure their safety and comfort.
Set up umbrellas, loungers, towels, and pool furniture; clear used towels, glasses, and trash.
Ensure that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe.
Enforce safety protocols as set out by the club.
Report any damages or incidents to the Vistas Management team.
Follow emergency protocols as required until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services.
Maintain a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and/or products; order all pool supplies.
Create a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service demands.
Maintain a fully staffed department by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training all pool staff.
Ensure that the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
Ensure appropriate department supervisory coverage through use of a Manager on Duty (MOD) system and participate in the facility's MOD schedule.
Assess all pool-related employees' progress continually; coach employees with positive reinforcement, and discipline fairly and consistently when needed.
Provide excellent customer service and monitor guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques. Supervise and follow up on department's guest requests and comments.
Ensure that the pool facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
Ensure fiscal responsibility through efficient scheduling of department and, when necessary, make changes to stay within budgetary guidelines.
Create and implement an annual marketing and programming plan to promote all aquatic activities and encourage member participation and utilization.
Prepare incident/accident reports and forward them to the Director, Spa & Sports.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Seasonal position - ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays - from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Possess strong customer service skills and work ethic, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative in marketing, promotion, and programming.
Possess strong swimming abilities.
Possess sufficient knowledge of pool equipment.
Be efficient, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to show initiative by suggesting ways to make processes and/or member services better.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years' experience in an aquatics-related management role, in a hospitality setting preferred
Experience working with children helpful
Must be at least 18 years of age
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
The following certifications are required (or be willing to be certified at RHCC):
Lifeguard Certification
CPR Certification
First-Aid Certification
AED Certification
WSI and/or LGI certifications preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. with assistance
Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment
Frequent exposure to intense and/or full sunlight
Ability to work indoors/outdoors, and in many weather conditions
