Epidemiologist / Data Source Specialist - Remote (Biotech)
SUMMARY
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Division of Communicable Disease Control (DCDC) Informatics Branch (IB) is recruiting an Epidemiologist/Data Source Specialist to join an exciting team developing innovative solutions to strengthen CDPH's public health data ecosystem. The incumbent will join the Reporting and Analytics Unit, responsible for developing innovative informatics and public health reporting pipelines and solutions. The incumbent will manage projects enhancing interoperability of our data systems and support reporting and analytics solutions to meet the needs of relevant public health partners, improve infectious disease (including COVID-19) response capabilities, and achieve organizational goals.
This position requires strong programming (R, SQL, and/or Python) and/or informatics knowledge to support data analysis, database design, reporting, and data quality assurance and quality improvement projects. The position will interact and collaborate with several multidisciplinary CDPH teams as well as other internal and external partners as they contribute to the CDPH prevention and control of communicable diseases, including COVID-19.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000 annually depending on experience/qualifications.
