The USF Center for Regenerative Medicine is located in a new state-of-the-art facility, housing multiple floors of clinical and laboratory space, state-of-the-art equipment, and outstanding core facilities including a vivarium fully outfitted for small animal husbandry and zebrafish.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The newly established Center for Regenerative Medicine (CRM), under the leadership of Dr. Da-Zhi Wang, is inviting excellent candidates for tenured or tenure-track position at ranks of ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, or FULL PROFESSOR. We are interested in investigators who work on all themes of cardiovascular biology and medicine, including but not limited to heart development, cardiac regeneration, cardiovascular disease, genetics and genomics, stem cell and tissue engineering, and gene therapy. Qualified candidates are expected to have already established, or have the potential to establish, a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program. Successful candidates will be offered institutional salary support commensurate with experience and highly competitive start-up packages that promote success. Based on qualifications, the home department may be Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Biomedical Engineering, or other relevant department at USF. MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree form an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
For Associate or Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization
PREFERRED:
MD, PhD, MD/PhD with external funding, prefer National Institutes of Health grant to perform basic and/or translational research in regenerative medicine and/or cardiovascular disease
