POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for administration and supervision of Proteus' energy division including implementing projects, managing budgets, and coordinating processes, and policies to achieve overall program goals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Takes overall administrative responsibility for implementing the energy-related programs as assigned.
Supervises the energy-related programs providing oversight to office and field staff.
Monitors progress of contracts ensuring performance and expenditures compliance.
Oversees material purchases and job expenses to ensure division profits.
Oversees the inventory and tracking systems for energy-related programs for compliance and efficiency.
Coordinates with central administrative functions, including Fiscal, Data, Human Resources, and Research and Planning Departments.
Assists and prepares grant proposals, sub-contractor agreements, and modifications.
Prepares reports of the various programs providing monthly updates to the board of directors.
Serves as staff representative to represent the agency before utility companies, and funding sources, and attends other meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or six years of directly related experience. Knowledge of community groups' experience with the economically disadvantaged and knowledge of energy programs.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills are required for data entry and other software programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, a California driver's license, and the minimum vehicle insurance required by law. Desirable licenses include a General Building Contractor (B) license, a C20 HVAC contractor license, or a Plumbing C-36 Contractors license.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Will require weekly travel to local Proteus offices or events at 20% of the weekly schedule and other assigned divisional areas. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Employees must regularly stand and use their hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk: reach with hands and arms; sit, kneel, stoop, climb, or balance.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel to other locations and outside training.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and ability to maneuver a dolly.
