MAT Case Manager - DC Hope Center (Healthcare)
The MAT Case Manager will serve as a case manager for the DC Medication-Assisted Treatment (DC-MAT) program and provide recovery support services to participants of that program. In this capacity, the Case Manager will provide and advocate for effective recovery-based services to aid in creating a stable environment for individuals participating in the DC-MAT program who are recovering from an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). The Case Manager brings a unique asset to the DC-MAT, providing intensive case management supports to supplement the recovery efforts of the Peer Coaches.
It is imperative for the Case Manager to have a set of competencies including knowledge of the Recovery process, recognizing signs and symptoms of substance use and mental health concerns, familiarity with community resources that aid independent living and the case management skills necessary to support participants. The MAT Case Manager should also have the ability to easily engage participants and build appropriate therapeutic alliances while maintaining solid boundaries.
