Wheelchair Technician - TPA Tampa International Airport - Part Time

$16 / hour

In addition, this position is eligible for $5 a month paid for monthly cellular phone allowance

Estimate hours 20 - 24 per week

Weekends and holidays may be required

BASIC JOB FUNCTION:

Reconditioning and repairing manual wheelchair equipment (wheelchairs), and related parts, in designated locations at Tampa International Airport.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment
  • Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet
  • Periodic Inventorying of Fleet
  • Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed.
  • Managing Positive Customer Relations
  • Timely reporting; timesheet & maintenance Log, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Mechanical aptitude is required
  • Company hand tools with be provided
  • Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred, but not required
  • Must be age 18 or older
     

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates or Technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Ability to get an Airport Badge is required
  • Drivers License preferred
     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Walk and stand for duration of shift
  • Bend and stoop regularly
