ACCOUNTANT (Administrative)
You will provide accounting, analytical and project support for the accurate preparation of the Bank's financial statements.
You will demonstrate general knowledge of financial accounting and reporting, collecting and analyzing data, interpreting accounting standards, and coordinating projects across a broad range of business functions.
Responsible for routine activities associated with financial and operational reporting and analysis, performance and risk management, and working directly with functional management.
What You Will Do:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and lead activities associated with the month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes.
Conduct regular general ledger maintenance and prepare account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of subsidiary ledgers and balance sheet accounts.
Participate in process and resolution of routine issues involving financial accounting and reporting.
Compile, analyzes and interprets data; assist more senior staff in the development financial models that provide accurate information; communicate conclusions and recommends a course of action.
Contribute to developing, revising, and updating accounting policies, controls and procedures. Comments and provides suggestions on System / Bank policies and procedures that involve accounting processes.
Perform basic accounting research and documents the accounting treatment, communicate conclusions to functional management.
Conduct activities related to identifying and managing department risks, such as: COSO testing and documentation, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessment and compliance activities, Information Security awareness, and Business Continuity testing and plan maintenance.
Subject to audits from internal auditors, Board of Governor's examiners and independent auditing firms.
Support audits and reviews and may work directly with internal and external auditors.
Fulfill job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.
What You Have:
Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong PC skills, using automation equipment and all related software.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skill to work with all levels of management.
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related degree.
Minimum of two years of similar financial work experience required.
Certified Public Accountant license or candidate preferred.
The salary grade for this position is: grade 11. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
