Lead II - Shipping (Administrative)
Essential Functions and Duties:
Responsible for leading, training, and coaching direct reports. Disburses load schedules for the truck loaders ensuring a smooth workflow. Coordinates the special packaging of accessories by controlling product flow to truck loaders. Trains new employees assigned to departments and current employees regarding new procedures (standard work, safety, quality, and on-time). Will support loading by guiding personnel and when needed, assist in loading trucks. Perform special packaging duties as needed. Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Provides assistance to other production functions as requested. Responsible for communicating schedule attainment status with other department Supervisors by using PC Control reports.
Requirements:
Must have basic math skills. Must be able to read a tape measure. Must have basic computer data entry skills. Must be able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays. Knowledge of Leedo door styles highly desirable. Knowledge of cabinet face frame configurations highly desirable. Knowledge of cabinet box parts and drawer box configurations highly desirable.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory environment, possibly including areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators as required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 60 pounds. Must be able to be trained in operating equipment.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent desired. 4 Years of Lead Experience 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics.
