Your Role: Regional Distribution Leader NA
The position is responsible for driving towards an optimized “fit for purpose” logistics network within the U.S. This includes overseeing the movement of goods within the US between manufacturing sites and distribution centers, developing and owning continuous improvement projects, understanding market and industry trends to position Elanco for success, and working effectively within Elanco's tools and systems to drive visibility and performance improvements.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and manage inbound transportation networks for shipments from manufacturing sites to North American distribution centers, ensuring compliance with cold-chain requirements, and supporting new product launches by defining and implementing appropriate logistics strategies.
Oversee freight audit and payment operations through management of an outsourced program, driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing vendor relationships, and reducing process exceptions to increase the accuracy and timeliness of carrier payments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including the US Affiliate, Internal/External Manufacturing, and Procurement to measure and enhance carrier performance, participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and ensure alignment on transportation goals and performance metrics.
Lead and contribute to Road and Parcel RFIP/RFQ processes, ensuring effective evaluation and selection of logistics partners, and manage the implementation of selected outcomes to improve service, cost, and quality across transportation networks.
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for transportation-related quality deviations, including documentation and resolution of CAPAs, to maintain high standards in service delivery and compliance.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Supply Chain/Logistics
Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of North American transportation and experience demonstrating a track record of delivering cost savings and/or avoidance results and developing high performing partnerships with carrier base
SAP, Excel, and Database software experience
Excellent communicator: ability to influence broadly to drive results
Dangerous Goods and Cold Chain transport experience

International logistics experience
Finance or Accounting experience
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively collaborate cross-functionally at the leadership and broader team level
Ability to lead an initiative from concept to implementation

Continuous improvement mindset
The ability and commitment to always maintain professionalism and work under pressure while achieving the highest level of quality
