Job Summary: The RIM/ NEW START/ CRISIS RESPITE Residential Care Technician performs direct care services to promote, encourage, and ensure efficient operation of the RIM/ NEW START/ CRISIS RESPITE program, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of program participants. Seeking to contribute to the success of the RIM/ NEW START/ CRISIS RESPITE program, as well as the agency as a whole, the Residential Care Technician successfully carries out daily tasks including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring of program participants' progress, and facilitation of life skills groups, through acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Shifts Available:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00pm
Monday - Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities, monitoring, and providing support to individuals residing in a 24/7 semi-independent residential substance abuse treatment facility to ensure the safety and wellbeing during recovery.
Facilitates life skills groups, including education on personal hygiene, nutrition, money management, and interpersonal skills.
Provides structured activities that promote socialization, recovery, wellness, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills.
Monitors completion of urinalysis drug screens, breathalyzers, and self-administration of medication in accordance with agency policies and procedures, to encourage accountability.
Provides transportation for individuals to appointments and activities in the community.
Performs light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning the program office and inspection of facilities in accordance with environment of care regulations.
Ensures and provides high quality, compassionate, and ethical delivery of services to improve program and organizational performance.
Maintains confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPPA policies.
Intervenes, stabilizes and manages acute crisis situations as needed.
Provides additional coverage during increased census/acuity and emergencies.
