About the Role
The Controller is a key member of the accounting team working directly with the CFO to drive financial success and efficiency throughout the organization. The Controller will be responsible for the daily accounting functions and preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements. In addition, the role will facilitate and oversee the annual budgeting process. The Controller will have opportunities to drive financial and organizational initiatives to help enhance the company performance.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Supervise accounting functions of receivables, payables, credit, and general administration.
Oversee and analyze all account reconciliations.
Gather and provide information to external auditors.
Oversee and facilitate annual budget
Document and monitor internal controls.
Oversee sales and use tax filing.
Identify and facilitate projects to improve financial accuracy and performance.
Primary backup and support to the CFO
Execute additional tasks as needed
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2+ years Controller related experience, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
