Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is considered a subject matter expert, acts as a project lead, and performs highly technical operations in the area of financial analysis and the evaluation of financial variables and trends. The senior analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to economists and other professionals in the System, including financial modeling and analysis and support for evaluation of financial institution or financial market data.Position requirements:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public policy, economics, or another related field and for FR-27 a minimum of 6 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a related field and 4 years of related experience, and for FR-28 a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or a master's degree in a related field and 6 years of related experience.

Remarks:
This position will primarily be responsible for conducting the Federal Reserve Board's oversight of systemically important Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) including central counterparties and payments systems. This position will also contribute to the analysis and review of potential new central counterparties in the Treasury markets to analyze and evaluate market structure and broader financial stability considerations. The Sr. Financial Institution and Policy Analyst will assess the financial and operational risk management practices at the FMIs and will interact directly with other analysts in the Federal Reserve system, staff at other US and international regulatory authorities, senior management at the FMIs, and Federal Reserve Board principals. This position may also contribute to the development or advancement of FMI-related policies in support of domestic and international initiatives. Past experience in one of the following areas is preferred: Financial Market Infrastructure or bank supervision Treasury market or central counterparty policy or analysis; familiarity with the legal framework applicable to FMIs; capital markets or trading; financial risk management such as stress testing, value-at-risk modeling, derivative pricing, counterparty credit risk management; or operational risk management. Additionally, candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, professional judgement and personal initiative.
