Position Summary:
The Department of Molecular Biosciences (MBS) at the University of South Florida invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction. This is a 12-month, non-tenure earning appointment with an expected start date of August 7, 2025. Salary is negotiable. There is no research component associated with this position.
The successful candidate will be required to revise and direct upper-level cell biology and genetics laboratories, as well as be able to teach upper-level cell biology, genetics and molecular biology curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline from an accredited institution at the time of appointment, or equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated backgrounds in teaching undergraduate courses in cell biology, genetics or molecular biology; developing undergraduate laboratory curriculum, and teaching large-enrollment lecture courses.
