Revenue Accountant (Finance)

Description:

The Staff Accountant - Revenue Management role will perform month end close and analysis for Generics gross to net deductions and present their findings to upper management and address any questions they may have. They will be responsible for certain monthly accruals related to the Generics division, such as, but are not limited to, Rebates, AdminFees, Billbacks, Cash Discounts and Shipping Cut Off. In addition, this role could be a back up to the gross to net reporting system known as BTI. The role will also create any ad hoc reports that may be requested and answer questions from external auditors.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare analytical and accounting analyses for month end / quarter end deductions, includes:- Rebates- AdminFees- Billbacks- Cash Discounts- Miscellaneous- Shipping Cut Off
• Support gross to net system BTI and address any issues or questions that may arise
• Responsible for month-end – set up files, run and reconcile all sales reports, roll forward accrual balances
• Quarterly review of fluctuation variances and hindsight analysis
• Prepare and enter journal entries, as well as overall responsibility for month end/quarter end basis
• Work with and answer questions from external auditors

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with auditors, prepare monthly GE files and other special projects as needed.

 

Education:

• Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related Field of Study - Required

Experience:

• 3 years or more in relevant working experience in corporate or public accounting
• 2 years or more in experience working in the pharmaceutical industry

Skills:

• Ability to work well in a team environment or independently. - Advanced
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. - Advanced
• Creative individual with high ethical standards and professional demeanor - Advanced

Specialized Knowledge:

• IntegriChain, ModelN Flex and/or JD Edwards experience preferredDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
