Market Sales Executive
The Market Sales Executive is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with automotive dealers in their assigned territory, and for generating profitable and quality loan originations. The Market Sales Executive works closely with the bank's Market Development and Funding teams to provide excellent customer service and to resolve any dealer issues. The Market Sales Executive also keeps abreast of the competitive landscape and market trends, and participates in the development and execution of the sales strategy for their territory.
Responsibilities
Proactively work in tandem with the bank's Market Development and Funding teams to develop, grow and maintain profitable dealer partnerships.
In conjunction with the Market Development team, participate in the development and execution of the sales strategy for the assigned territory.
Meet or communicate with automotive dealers on a regular basis to develop new business and cultivate solid business relationships.
Present dealers with the bank's program of indirect non-prime auto financing and support any dealer training or development requirements.
Manage the assigned dealer relationships to ensure profitability, acceptable portfolio performance and achievement of sales goals.
Identify high potential sales prospects using personal knowledge and company provided market information.
Prepare and develop sales material required to educate and train dealers on the benefits of the bank's program.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive programs within the assigned territory.
Develop relationships with all members of dealership management teams, including General Managers and owners.
Resolve dealer issues such as monies owed, buybacks, fraud situations, misrepresentations, poor application efficiencies and portfolio performance.
Work daily with the Market Development and Funding teams to keep each other informed of changes, issues, opportunities and examples of success for the assigned dealer base.
Utilize the CRM system to provide complete and informative data in the following areas: sales calls, dealer performance, competitive intelligence and personal performance.
Keep the senior leadership team apprised of any major issues and opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
Solid knowledge of outside sales, credit and funding processes in consumer finance and/or indirect automotive lending.
Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related lending experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of outside sales, credit and funding processes in consumer finance and/or indirect automotive lending experience, sub-prime lending experience very beneficial.
Local knowledge and relationships with existing automotive dealerships a plus.
Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment to achieve shared sales goals.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while providing service to external dealer customers and internal bank staff.
Ability to carry out written and oral instructions applicable to bank policies and procedures as well as Federal Bank Regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
Presentation skills to individuals and groups.
Knowledge of effective sales techniques.
Significant travel and overtime required in order to meet sales goals and service the assigned dealer base.
Ability to influence and persuade others.
Proficient in the use of personal computers and applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
