The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Med-Peds at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank to provide patient care and teaching duties. The Division of Med-Peds manages patients from newborns to centenarians. MINIMUM:
Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in internal medicine/ general pediatrics.
Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted full medical license in the state of Florida.

The faculty member appointed will be expected to contribute to departmental teaching programs involving medical students and house staff. He/She will participate in preparation/organization of new educational programs as well as participation in university/ college assigned committees. The individual will be expected to effectively utilize his/her clinical practice as a teaching resource.
The faculty member will be encouraged to participate in ongoing research and in seeking funding for research. Collaborative effort within the Department and the University will be encouraged.
The faculty member will be responsible for the management of patients primarily in the outpatient setting at the USF Health Med-Peds clinic. Night and weekend call per the general pediatrics schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
