The Electrical Manager for Plant Operations and Maintenance is responsible for the efficient operation of the UC Health Main Campus (Clifton) buildings. The Electrical Manager provides leadership, schedules, coordination, supervision, and oversight of the performance of personnel. The Manager often acts as a client interface and problem solver. As a manager, you will exercise responsibility for developing and managing day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for implementing approved planned replacement and upgrades, capital improvements, required preventative maintenance of all electrical systems as well as repair of other miscellaneous equipment while taking guidance from our in-house Electrical Engineer.Minimum Requirement: Associate degree or Journeyman Electrician License in OH, IN, KY
Minimum Required: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.Directs Plan Operations
Directs the daily functions of the Plant Operations Department, including consulting with the department supervisor on various issues and projects. Also works directly with associates to identify, train and/or solve equipment problems
Routine Inspections
Performs routine inspections of the campus, electrical/mechanical equipment, utility systems; and schedules contractors to perform required test, maintenance or replacement of equipment.
Construction Projects
Consults with the Real Estate Department on various projects, including preparing estimates, construction documents, permits and project management.
Regulatory Compliance
Maintains regulatory compliance with local, state and federal agencies pertaining to fire life safety systems, fuel storage and EPA emissions.
Capital Budgets
Prepares capital and operating budgets, makes recommendations on improvements to equipment and structures. Ordering of material.
Construction Contracts
Prepares RFPs for utility contracts and initiates contracts.
Energy Mgt and Building Safety
Performs energy management studies, administers the Central Fire Alarm computer system and Building Automation Computer System.
