POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of South Florida is seeking endovascular neurology candidates at the Assistant Professor level to join our Lakeland Regional Medical Center practice. Successful faculty candidates will be appointed in the USF Health Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair and provide neuroendovascular care at one of the busiest hospitals in Florida. Candidates must be a physician and eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and must have completed a neurology residency and two-year neuroendovascular fellowship training.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outpatient practice/clinic 1 day/week. This would include an AM/PM sessions at LRMC Neurosciences Center.
Inpatient 3-4 days/week at Lakeland Regional Medical Center treating patients using endovascular techniques in the bi-plane suite. More specifically, the management of patients with CNS vascular disease, the performance of neuroendovascular diagnostic procedures, and the integration of neuroendovascular surgical therapy into the clinical management of patients with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and other disorders.
Complete clinical obligations such as chart completion, patient follow-up, finalize billing, etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Candidates must be a physician and eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and must have completed a neurology residency and two-year neuroendovascular fellowship training. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
PREFERRED:
Completion of a two-year neuroendovascular fellowship training.
