Eligibility Requirements: To qualify for this internship, applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university and currently classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior.

JOB SUMMARY

The Video Production Intern will support our marketing team in creating engaging, high-quality video content. This internship provides hands-on experience in video production, post-production, and digital storytelling. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a passion for video editing and production, eager to contribute to projects that enhance our brand and messaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in editing short-form and long-form videos, including promotional content, explainer videos, and event recaps.
• Organize and manage video assets to ensure a smooth production workflow.
• Support pre-production planning, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, and shot planning.
• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop visually compelling content for social media, website, and email campaigns.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, including YouTube, LinkedIn, and internal channels.
• Enhance video storytelling with captions, graphics, animations, and other visual elements.
• Assist with shooting video content when needed, including lighting and camera setup.

NONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stay up to date with social media video trends and best practices.
• Provide creative input and fresh ideas to improve video content.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation (After Effects is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the team.
• Creative mindset with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Current student pursuing a degree in Film, Media Production, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Familiarity with social media video trends and best practices.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (if needed)

• Ability to commit to the duration of the internship as agreed upon with Empyrean.
