What You'll Get to Do

The Paint Lead is focused on leading, monitoring, and supervising to achieve organizational goals all while working alongside the team and reports to the Powder Coating  Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, excellent communication skills, and detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality.  A vital member of the Paint Line, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Ensure the quality of parts coming off the paint line meet the company's quality standards and are properly documented.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve quality and on-time performance goals.
• Direct departmental performance measures with the Supervisor, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to the Supervisor.
• Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor, excluding hiring, discipline, and discharging of employees.
• Provide leadership to the team.

What We Are Looking For

• Understanding of the operations and processes of the Paint Line, including but not limited to the paint booth, metal pre-treatment, wastewater treatment procedures, and part hanging.
• Experience in paint booth operations.
• Prior experience with powder coating is desired.
• Leadership experience.
• Previous involvement with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to train new employees on paint line operations and procedures.
