ECMO Manager - Operating Room (Finance)

The ECMO Manager provides 24-hour leadership and accountability for the clinical and administrative activities for the ECMO program and patients undergoing ECMO support to assure high quality patient and family centered care. The ECMO Manager will have a key role at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and shall model the values, mission, and vision of UCMC. The ECMO Manager will work closely with physicians and other clinicians to establish high standards and continuity of care for patients, serving as a population-based expert clinician, and assisting with staff training and skills development for all individuals providing ECMO care within the organization. The ECMO Manager will have various roles throughout the facility that maintains, regulates, and expands the ECMO program. The ECMO Manager must demonstrate critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting the needs of the department. The ECMO Manager will provide direct patient care as scheduled by the Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support.Education:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree, ECMO Specialist Certification (CES-A or E-AEC)- required, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)- required, State of Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License- required
Experience:
Minimum Required: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience Preferred: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience
