Position Summary
Supervises the Sorting Departments as well as interfaces with manufacturing, sales, shipping, customers and suppliers on quality related issues. Documents and validates internal and external
quality corrective actions. Provides a safe working environment to ensure efficient work flow, meet the quality standards and maintain compliance with IATF16949, ISO17025 and ISO14001
procedures/work instructions. Develops, implements and maintains corrective action system, including supporting procedures. Continuous improvements are an ongoing function of this
position.
Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
• Has complete knowledge of all appropriate sorting equipment, measuring devices, inspection procedures and the ability to perform inspections and properly document results.
• Supervises all in house machine and hand sorting and coordinates outside sorting on off loaded product.
• Provide direction and training to employees engaged in sorting of product from outside vendors and in process sorting requirements.
• Conducts department activities and supervises employees across 3 production shifts to ensure production goals are met.
• Maintain the inspection system to make sure changes are in compliance with ISO/IEC17025, ISO14000, ISO14001, IATF16949, and corporate requirements.
• Maintain assigned daily logs for inspections completed. Manage audit and corrective actions as needed.
• Performs analysis on Right First Time charts to help drive improvement.
• Completes Material Isolation Form and promptly notifies Quality Manager of the lots that do not meet specification.
• Initial containment on customer concerns. Aid in the tracking, solutions, and verification of solutions of customer complaints and IMI's.
• On site visits to customer locations as required.
• Assist Quality Manager during customer audits.
• Perform Supplier audits as required.
• Update and summarize layered audits on a monthly basis.
