Facility Technician (Manufacturing)
The Facilities Technician position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings interior and exterior structure. This position applies moderate related knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry to guarantee the facility is properly and safely maintained.
Hours: Can be flexible, between 6am - 4 pm Mon - Fri
Essential responsibilities:
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Provides first hand troubleshooting of building equipment, repairs, and then contracting workers.
Responsible for overseeing all contracted building maintenance or service work
Plumbing; repairs/replaces faucets, toilets, wax rings, sinks and unclogs drains
Electrical; repairs/replaces outlets, light switches, fixtures, bulbs and ballasts
HVAC; cleans/replaces filters, belts, condensate pumps and drains and inspects thermostats, heaters, air conditioners and burners
Routine inspections of offices, offices lights, office doors and furniture
Oversees grounds and parking lots including lighting, green spaces, trash pick-up and keeping walkways and parking lots free of debris, snow and ice
Roof maintenance including inspections, cleaning gutters/drains and patching leaks
Inspection of compressors and water cooling systems
Preventative maintenance of pest control systems per ISO requirements; bug lights
Environmental safety including universal waste disposal, inspection of areas to maintain no exposure certificate status and recycling program through engineering
Event preparation and set up
Moves, relocates, assembles and installs office furniture including but not limited to deks, chairs, tables, files and white boards
Carpentry, painting, dry-wall and other general repairs
Repairs locking systems on doors, files, cabinets and lockers
Maintains custodial and restroom supplies and equipment
Assists maintenance personnel as required
Ensures work is performed in a timely manner and triages requests to prioritize the most critical repairs
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relationships with company personnel, management, vendors and service providers
Runs errands as needed. Must pass driver's background to be added on auto insurance policy.
Documents necessary inspections and maintenance
Checks and reviews work orders and completes tasks on a priority basis
Demonstrates high levels of good housekeeping practices
Available for on-call emergencies after work hours and weekend/overtime work as scheduled or required. Phone will be provided.

Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED preferred or 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in general facilities maintenance.
1+ years related experience and/or training to include:
Safety observe safety procedures, report potential unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information; develop/evaluate alternative solutions; apply critical thinking skills; work well in group situations
Mathematical - calculate and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Quality demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; improves and promotes quality
Attendance and Punctuality consistently at work and on time
Language read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Communication effective listening; giving and receiving feedback
Professionalism treat others with respect and consideration; react well under pressure
Computer working knowledge of computers; capable of learning the organizations computer system
Fork / Aerial Lift Certified or ability to obtain; Valid Drivers License
Knowledge of methods and principles of general building maintenance; electrical, plumbing, groundskeeping and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge and ability to use a variety of tools for the trade.
Ability to bend, stand, walk, lift, twist throughout the work day.
