Residential Services Supervisor OVERNIGHT Shift (Personal Services)
GENERAL FUNCTION: Provides for the protection, physical safety, and well-being of children ages 12-17 years, including nonminor dependents and their children in a residential treatment setting. Supervises group and/or individual planned activities according to a daily schedule and provides guidance and direction to staff to ensure the safety and care of all residents. May serve as facility manager based on qualifications. May serve as the designated substitute when the Administrator is absent.
Experience in residential treatment setting and/or STRTP facility, with youth required, six months experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in the Human Science field preferred. Experience working with disabled or medically fragile clients preferred.
- Knowledge of developmental needs of children ages 0-18 years throughout the developmental stages preferred.
- Must be a professional with the ability to effectively set limits and function in crisis-oriented and high stress situations. Must possess maturity, good judgment, and the ability to be a positive role model for youth. Must be able to work as part of a team and have ambulatory, auditory and visual skills to observe residents and staff and physically intervene with residents when required. English proficient/Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Must have the physical ability to participate in activities and perform related physical skills, including, but not limited to, crouching, lifting 50 pounds, crawling on hands and knees, and walking up and down stairs.
- Ability to comply with all employment requirements including, but not limited to CPR/Pediatric 1st Aid, physical, TB and drug screen clearance, clear DMV record and approval from insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Must provide proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles.
- Participate in milieu treatment planning and implementation.
- Utilize each resident's Needs and Services Plan to ensure services are provided in support of identified goals.
- Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required.
- Sign up for on call shifts as required by the program to always maintain staff to client ratios.
- Record daily progress notes for each resident and provide to Quality Assurance Specialist for filing.
- Complete personal belonging inventory and ensure clients have adequate clothing per inventory standards.
- Submit maintenance requests via intranet for completion by Facilities Team.
- Report all janitorial and hygiene needs to Program Coordinator and Program Specialist. Transport residents to appointments using agency and/or personal vehicle.
- May perform Waived Tests, as needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Must be able to be associated with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), which typically includes clearance by FBI, DOJ and CACI.
Meet at least one of the following education or experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in arts or sciences, Human Services field preferred OR
- Two years of full-time experience, or equivalent, working with the population to be served in the STRTP, or equivalent education/experience as determined by Casa de Amparo OR
- Two years of experience as a member of social work staff in a group home or STRTP.
