Treasury & Tax Specialist (Finance)

The Treasury & Tax Specialist supports the Controller in day-to-day treasury and tax related activities. This role requires hands-on processing of detailed transactions. This position reports directly to the VP Corporate Controller. The Treasury & Tax Specialist will work with multiple internal and external partners including our banking partners and our sales and accounting teams. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

Treasury Services

• Serve as a key liaison to our banking partners and as administrator for banking system(s)
• Validate banking information for our vendors and coordinate with the Controller ensure proper controls are in place to prevent unauthorized changes to banking information
• Research outstanding checks and assist in reconciling bank accounts
• Serve as administrator for the company credit card program

Cash Management

• Assist Controller in managing debt-related banking activities
• Prepare daily liquidity and other ad hoc reporting
• Assist in the execution of vendor payments, including set-up and loading ACH/Wire transactions and preparing and issuing checks

Tax Support

• Maintain an organized process to receive, log and save customers' sales tax exemption certificates
• Ensure sales tax accounting systems are accurately updated with customers' tax exemptions in a timely manner
• Coordinate with our sales team to research questions related to sales tax exemptions and with our accounts receivable team to adjust billings when necessary
• Assist the Controller and tax accountants with other sales and use tax related activities

Business Support

• Complete credit applications
• Assist Controller and AP Manager with ad-hoc accounts payable projects

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of Banking/Accounts Payable experience Preferred.
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
• Organized and ambitious team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiple competing priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
