Licensed, Behavioral Health Clinician (Child and Adolescent) - Lawrenceville Outpatient Center (R&D)

Shift: Day shift (40 hours per week on average)
Job Hours: 8:30 - 5 (Evening hours availability once per week)

View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.
Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete diagnostic formulations and appropriate assessments for children &/or adolescents with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders.
Collaboratively formulate SMART treatment plans to address issues identified in assessment.
Facilitate substance use recovery groups such as 7 challenges, ASAM level programming, etc.
Provide short-term individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices for behavioral health and substance use disorders.
Provides evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and families.
Assist client/family in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems.
Communicate with outside agencies/providers as needed (i.e., schools, IEP team)
Provide psychoeducation to family and youth around mental health, trauma, substance use and abuse, and recovery.
Provide crisis assessment and screening for hospitalization.
Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs.
Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs)
Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information.
Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after hour coverage, via phone.
Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed in the state of Georgia. OR
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND associate licensure in the state of Georgia. OR
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND full clinical licensure in the state of Georgia
ONE year of supervised experience in behavioral health
Must pass criminal records fingerprint check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR
Previous clinical experienceworking in Community Mental Health Care with youth diagnosed with substance use disorders
Experience providing substance use specific groups such as 7 challenges or ASAM level programming
Certification as a CADC I, CADC II or specialized training in substance use disorders.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
