Insurance Authorization Specialist - Physical Therpay (Administrative)

Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Insurance Authorization Specialist. We are looking for a reliable and professional member of our team that is looking for longevity with a growing company.

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year experience with medical authorizations and have good knowledge of coding and medical terminology.

Essential Functions:
Review insurance claims and determine the necessary settlement as neededFile documents and gather the required information for further investigation and analysis as neededCoordinate with the insurance companies and ensure that the correct communications are being sent out for referenceDemonstrate knowledge of HIPAA by appropriately managing patient confidentiality.Build authorization, match ICD-10 codes with their procedure codesObtain verification of insurance coverage and authorizations for clinical visits for patientsEscalate concerns to the supervisor for immediate resolutionCommunicate on audit findings to appropriate staff members
Requirements
High School Graduate; and a minimum of 1 year billing experience, with a good understanding of coding and medical terminologyProficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Excellent written & verbal communication skillsMaintain high levels of organization while being focused on detailsCapable of a sense of urgency in all responsibilitiesAbility to prioritize tasksCapable of working independentlyReliability and longevity is a must
